Im 127 lb 5ft 4in I've had a baby belly since my son was born years ago, no matter how my weight goes up and down my belly fat is constant. Im already as thin as I would like to be, I just want a flat tummy. What can I do, other than surgery?
Your ability to lose belly fat is all about dieting and very little to do with situps or crunches. Understand that you will lose body fat when dieting and not exercising. You will not lose your body fat when exercising and not dieting. Exercises like situps and crunches are a great way to build and shape your stomach muscles. Unfortunately all you are doing is building and shaping your muscle under your belly fat. Because of that, you will never see the results of all your hard work. This is why you must diet.
The good news for you is that your body naturally wants to burn its body fat. All you have to do is help it to burn more. By doing that you will allow your body to burn away its stored fat. You must target your stored fat if you want to finally get a flat stomach. The good news for you is that dieting has never been easier. Luckily dieting no longer means you have to only eat salads. There are certain foods you want to eat more of. You want to target more fulfilling foods. By doing that you will not always be hungry and will eat less. Since you will be eating less, you will allow your body to target your stored fat.

I just had a baby 3 months ago, and I'm trying to get back into shape.
Does anyone know the best way to lose belly fat? Do I need to go on a diet? Any help would be really appreciated!
Thanks!
I feel that despite all the new trends that are out there, good old fashion jogging/running and crunches still works the best and you won't have to spend too much money to get the best results. You just need some dedication and a little time each day. Of course you need to eat healthy, but I wouldn't necessarily say you need to go on a diet. Just eat healthy.

I weigh like 115 pounds and i am 5"2 . i want to lose my belly fat but not lose weight. any suggestions? BTW if i lessen my calorie intake and do no exercise will that cut the belly fat down?
You need to tone up.
Your belly holds your intestines which are rather large.
If you have weak stomach muscles they can push on your abdominal wals and give you a pooch.
Do crunches (sit ups are hard on your back)
Start with 100, try to work up to 1000 in various positions.
Legs bent, one leg flat , the other leg flat, both legs flat, bring both knees to chest, twist to the side, then the other side. Then when you get good keep legs straight and bring them to the ceiling.
Do 100 reps of each
God this spam is annoying.
You can't ask a weight loss question without 5 people posting links for acai berry, nutri-whatever, and diet pills

I have been lifting at the gym for a year or so and has gained some muscle mass. However i have also gained a layer of fat around my lower abdominal. Now i know the only way to lose fat is by a combination of low calorie diet and cardio/aerobic exercises. But by doing these, it will also burn away my hard earned muscle. so i was wondering if any fitness/health experts can help me with this problem. Thanks
I'm not an expert, but I do know that you should watch the fat in the foods that you're eating. People can do crunches all they want, but if they're eating a lot of fat and junk, that flab won't go away. You probably have a nice stomach underneath from working out, but you gotta watch the fat intake to help eliminate it the fat covering it.
