Burn More Fat by Building More Muscle
The best way to burn more fat is to build more muscle. Muscle uses extra calories to stay strong, so, the more muscle you have, the more calories your burn and the more fat you lose. Contrary to popular belief, building muscle isn’t just about putting in your hours at the gym, or even which exercises you do–how you do the exercises matters just as much. Incorporate these simple tips into your workout to boost your muscle mass.
Tighten Those Muscles
Tightening your muscles while exercising can build extra muscle fast without extra work. Try this during your next workout:
- Tighten your core muscles by drawing your stomach in. Pretend your belly button is getting closer and closer to your spine. Hold your stomach there while you exercise. You are sure to notice the extra burn, and the extra definition.
- Just like your core muscles, you should clench your glute muscles, as well. Not only will this build extra muscle, but it will also lift and firm the butt area.
Â
Check Your Posture
Most people donât think about posture when they think of building muscle and losing fat, but they should. Good posture makes your back and core muscles contract, building the muscles.
To achieve better posture, think of a string pulling your head upwards, straightening your neck, lifting your rib cage, and straightening your shoulders. To keep your good balance, imagine yourself trying to hold something between your shoulder blades while you exercise.
Finally, if you plan on using an exercise program, be aware that some are more detailed than others. For instance, this No Nonsense Muscle Building review is about one of the most comprehensive products on the market. Other exercise plans, however, may just tell you to go through the motions without telling you what truly makes a difference in your workout!
The next time you exercise, be conscious of your muscles, and you will end up leaner and trimmer than ever before.

Is it true that you can burn more fat by building muscle and dieting?
I have seen that in many magazines such as Men’s Health and :Men’s Fitness magazines that builllding muscle is one of the key essential things towards burning fat. Is that true?
yes. muscle incinerates calories

Theoretically, yes. It takes a lot more energy to operate a larger amount of muscle. When you have more muscle mass, you can lift heavier objects, and burn more energy quicker.
Increasing muscle mass also takes a lot of energy in itself, so that will help burn lots of fat too.

yes, the more muscle you have, the easier it is to burn body fat.
your diet is the number 1 most important thing in determining how much body fat you lose. Weight training and cardio are second to your diet. You can essentially lose weight without doing much exercise, but it takes longer.

most definitely… muscle requires more energy from your body and thus helps you burn fat. Plus, the exercise you will do to build the muscle will help get rid of the flab as well.
Find a decent routine working ALL your muscle (back, chest, arms, legs, glutes) and do very little rest between reps for maximum cardio while you lift.

all the above responders are correct…
BUT do remember that when you first start ‘building muscle" or exercising…even with dieting, you are going to notice a weight increase at first because muscle weighs more than fat.
after about a week or two of the routine, you will notice your weight beginning to decrease…this will be because fat is going away and being replaced by the muscle (instead of carrying both).
good luck

Yes, definately. It also depends on the diet you’re using. A diet low in fats will help burn fat faster than one higher in fats for obvious reasons.
Build muscles by lifting weights. When lifting start at half your maximum weight and increase to your maximum by adding 10 lbs after each set of 10 reps. Also lift at a steady pace, don’t hang around and talk, you want to keep your heart rate up to get the maximum effect.
Also do a warm up before hand, you can peddle a stationery by for 20 minutes at 75% of your maximum resistance. For the next 10 minutes increase the resistance to 100% of your maximum. This gets your cardio going, starts the fat burning process and build leg muscles. Then go into your weight lifting.

if you are going to include weight training, you will loose more weight with proper diet and cardio as well.
But, you will not seem like you are loosing as much because you will be adding muscle. so the scale is not a good indication of how much fat you are loosing.. example, you might loose 2 lbs of fat in a given week yet gain 1 lbs of muslce, so you wont see on the scale that your weight in decreaseing by very much but your fat will be decreaseing. so jsut look for long term results, not week to week
