losing belly fat even though im skinny?

I have very strong abs (i can do about 2 or 3 sets of 1,000 crunches without stopping), and I am skinny except for in my stomach, and I want to lose belly fat, is going on a diet OK even though the rest of my body is skinny?

Don’t go on a diet, you’ll end up too skinny. Yuck, skinny boys!!!

If yes why, if no, why?

Thank you!

You can’t just lose fat in one part of your body.

Also, don’t worry so much about the carbs. Get whole grain pasta with lots of fiber… it’s filling and satisfying on not a lot of calories.

I have some belly fat that I want to get rid of. But I also want to build muscle at the same time. What kind of diet should I follow? I was thinking low-carb and high-protein but I am worried if the low-carb hurts the muscle building and the high-protein will add more fat in the waist region. Please suggest. I am doing weight training and cardio every day. I am 31 male and average built. Thanks.

i’m going to the beach in a couple weeks and i want to drop some fat, without losing too many numbers.

(i’m in treatment for anorexia, and i have been for two years, so i get weighed every week. i just want to look great in a bikini)

Try some sit ups and crunches, along with cardio exercises.

What are some exercises to losing belly fat?

Do sit ups work please & thank you!

You can’t spot reduce. Meaning you can’t only lose weight only in certain areas of your body. What you need to do is eat a healthy diet (80% of the whole process) and do some sort of all-body exercise such as jogging, swimming, or any vigorous sport for an hour a day. Sit ups don’t help much, but crunches do. Do 100 a day.

What is a good diet for losing belly fat?

I want the diet to be simple and has good food.

You can eat normal foods..Just make sure they are low in fat. and try to cut out the greasy foods..and fast food restraunts. You can also do crunches and exercises that work your ab muscles.

Make sure you add a lot of veggies and fruit to your diet too.

What is the best advice for losing belly fat?

I’m 5′8, 140 and exercise about 30 minutes 3-4 times a week. My biggest prob area is my stomach! I’ve tried all kinds of exercises and diets and jsut can’t seem to get rid of it. any advice?
i aldready eat only ckn and turkey, one soda a day, limited on sweets

most likely you can clean up your diet more by increasing the intake of complex carbs that are high in fiber. there is an inverse relationship between the dietary fiber intake and resting serum insulin levels. the higher the fiber intake the lower resting insulin levels will be. controlling the storage hormone insulin through the diet is the key to reducing body fat. carbs sources should be things like whole oats, lentils, beans, whole grain rice, etc. eat all the veggies that can daily at least 4-5 cups and make sure to eat plenty of protein with each meal.

when you exercise you need to constantly increase the amount of work that is performed in the same amount of training time. with weights this means increasing the loads used or the number of reps. with cardio you want to increase the distance traveled each session at the same level/speed, etc. by constantly increasing the intensity of exercise you force the body to adapt and become more efficient. the more effecient you become at exercise the greater the caloric expenditure during the training session. at the conclusion of exercise the body will attempt to restore itself to the pre-exercise state. this causes excess oxygen consumption which causes the metabolic rate to increase as free fatty acids are oxidized for energy. to achieve this level of intensity you have to exercise hard it’s not easy and takes time but it’s how you see results. you need to be visibly out of breath at the consulsion of exercise.

Please i need shed off Losing belly fat?

I have alot of belly fat, that i want to shed off. Please advice on the diet that i should take and which is the best exercise, track or gym ?

Weight loss happens when you burn more calories than you eat. So, first, you need to eat well. Stick to the food guide for healthy eating at http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn-an/food-guide-aliment/index-eng.php and avoid things like soda and sweets as much as possible. Try www.fitday.com or www.myfitnesspal.com to help with keeping track of your diet and your exercise habits. Both running on the track as well as weight training at the gym are important for achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. Running will burn more calories than weight training will, but weight training will help you build muscle, which burns calories faster than fat does. So a good mix of both is important. Ask the staff at your local gym to help you with a routine. You can’t, however, lose just belly fat; when your body begins to lose fat, so will your belly. But remember, weight loss is a lifestyle, not just a one-time goal. You need to make a plan to live healthy and active to keep the weight off. Good luck!

No it’s not healthy The 6 mini meals a day provides that and its a healthier way… just delete the rest if you don’t care to know about it.

Yes, it’s possible to lose weight as a teenager, but you have to eat to lose weight or your body holds onto all its fat because it thinks you are starving it.

How Much Water Do I Need To Drink Each Day?

♥ On a better note, here’s something to follow that keeps you eating healthy while dropping unnecessary fat. There is a formula to follow for how much water to drink for your current weight:

♥ Your Weight Times (.5) Equals Divided By 8oz (or 1 Cup) Equals # Cups of Water/Day

• 100lbs x .5 = 50/8 =6 Cups of Water/day
• 120lbs x .5 = 60/8 = 7 Cups of Water/day
• 135lbs x .5 = 67.5/8 = 8 Cups of Water/day
• 150lbs x .5 = 75/8 = 9 Cups of Water/day
• 175lbs x .5 = /8 = 11 Cups of Water/day
• 200lbs x .5 = 100/8 = 12.5 Cups Water/day

Why Do I Need To Drink Water To Lose Weight?

♥ Water is essential for overall health, not to mention, its natural appetite suppressant.Water also plays an important role as in metabolizing food and helps you to burn more calories than if you didn’t drink water.

♥ It’s also is important to know that you can die from an overdose of water. Water is extremely dangerous when you are only drinking water instead of eating and drinking in moderation.

♥ Hyponatremia is the result of too much water in your system to cause an imbalance in your electrolytes which in turn would result in excessive swelling of the heart, lungs, and brain.

♥ The most dangerous consumption of water is done when the person tries to drink their daily limits of water all in one sitting. Water must be spread out throughout the day in order for it to circulate throughout your system.

What’s the Easiest Substitution To Start?

♥ Let’s start with the easiest of substitutions where people will probably not notice that you are making changes to your diet:

♥ Week 1. Stop all soda pop, juice, etc. No slurpees, milkshakes, floats. Drink only water or crystal lite as a substitute for pop, juice, slurpees, frappaccinos, frozen mocha drinks, etc.

♥ Do not use hot chocolate, tea or coffee as a substitute for water as the chemicals used to flavor these drinks take all the good qualities out of the water and leave empty calories and dehydration.

♥ The reason you are substituting the water in place of the other drinks, is to help you to regain your own self control. In approximately 3 months, you’ll be able to reinstate some of them into your diet in moderation and as a treat for yourself in the future.
Do I Need To Go To The Gym?

♥ No, what you need to achieve right now is can be done away from a gym. In order to help get your metabolism up, it’s imperative that you get your heart rate up in any way possible. If you are extremely overweight and suffer from sore knees, then you need to get yourself a bathing suit or layered workout wear to use in the swimming pool; if you do not have a public pool and you know someone who has one, then sit down and ask them if they would allow you to borrow time in their pool and schedule a time for 7 days in the week; a low depth river, lake or swimming pond will work in ideal temperatures. Another option would be to use a small indoor trampoline to do ‘rebounding’. This will also up your metabolism.

♥ Walk once around the block or swim one lap each day to raise metabolism (5 days unless you enjoy 7 days) If your block is more than a mile long then only walk half or substitute with another activity equivalent. If you have a hill or hiking trail, then try to motivate yourself to do it once a week the first month. *Do not exceed 2 hours in the beginning.

What’s the Next Substitution In The Beginning?

♥ This is one of the most difficult substitution or limitation for many teens who have gotten into the habit of sitting down and snacking.

♥ Week 2. Stop all breads, buns, cakes, muffins, etc.. No Chips, Nachos, Cookies, Cheezies, Snack Chips of any sort, Wheat Thins, Rice Cakes, Triscuits, Tea Biscuits, English Muffins, Foccascia, etc.

♥ Many teens fill their emptiness with sweet bread-like products which includes peanut butter and honey or jam toast when others will reach for saltier snacks which includes pretzels.

♥ It’s difficult to break the habit of snacking at the movies, watching home Dvd’s, sports games and their finals, as

I am watching what I eat and exercising. I lost 7 lbs, all of it from where I was already skinny (legs) and my belly has’t gone down an inch. I look worse than before. Please, don’t try to sell me anything. I want to hear from people who have been successful in eliminating visceral fat.

Alright where to start,

I was 280lbs and partly muscle and a big tubby belly. I now weigh about 220 and have kept it off

The way I lost weight and have kept it off for almost two years now is I ran and I still run. You have to run long distance over some time to get your metabolism to use fat as the primary energy source. If you run sprints you are just gonna blow through carbohydrates. Your body only uses fat with low intensity and long duration cardiovascular exercise. I still lift weights all the time to continue to keep my muscle mass on cause that’s extremely important to me. When you start running gradually increase your time/distance whichever is easier for you. When I did it I started week 1 with just a mile. This was almost impossible for me, then in week two I pushed it up to 1.5 miles and then week three I was running 2 miles no problem. Any good workout program you wont see results until week 2. This is the Healthy way to lose weight without any gimics. If running is a problem for you look into an elliptical or bike.

Nutritionally if you are trying to lose weight you need to SUBSTITUTE more fruits and vegetables for dairy, meats, and carbohydrates. Do not eliminate anything from your diet because each of the food groups has a benefit for your body in one shape form or fashion. You can cut soda, sweets, and fast food to see a tremendous boost in your weight loss.
