I would like to hear from anyone who has successfully lost belly fat, without losing muscle?
I am watching what I eat and exercising. I lost 7 lbs, all of it from where I was already skinny (legs) and my belly has’t gone down an inch. I look worse than before. Please, don’t try to sell me anything. I want to hear from people who have been successful in eliminating visceral fat.
Alright where to start,
I was 280lbs and partly muscle and a big tubby belly. I now weigh about 220 and have kept it off
The way I lost weight and have kept it off for almost two years now is I ran and I still run. You have to run long distance over some time to get your metabolism to use fat as the primary energy source. If you run sprints you are just gonna blow through carbohydrates. Your body only uses fat with low intensity and long duration cardiovascular exercise. I still lift weights all the time to continue to keep my muscle mass on cause that’s extremely important to me. When you start running gradually increase your time/distance whichever is easier for you. When I did it I started week 1 with just a mile. This was almost impossible for me, then in week two I pushed it up to 1.5 miles and then week three I was running 2 miles no problem. Any good workout program you wont see results until week 2. This is the Healthy way to lose weight without any gimics. If running is a problem for you look into an elliptical or bike.
Nutritionally if you are trying to lose weight you need to SUBSTITUTE more fruits and vegetables for dairy, meats, and carbohydrates. Do not eliminate anything from your diet because each of the food groups has a benefit for your body in one shape form or fashion. You can cut soda, sweets, and fast food to see a tremendous boost in your weight loss.

Are you drinking? Alcohol contributes HEAVILY to belly fat.

Since you have skinny legs if your exercise includes running, you should do less. I lost almost all of my belly fat doing a ten minute belly dancing routine 3 times a week.

it worked for my mom & sister
You wanna focus on excercises like sit ups. The muscle eats away at the fat meaning that you gain muscle and lose fat easily and equally. Eating less carbohydrates and [possibly] more proteins could also be benificial too; proteins are used to build muscle whilst carbs just make podge.

I haven’t really done that but i have lost some fat trying not to lose muscle a few times.
The idea is to lift weights as hard as you can and eat alot of protein while still keeping your calories low. Its hard work but you should be able to keep muscle loss to a minimum.
If you are not used to lifting weights then you might even gain a little muscle and that will help you lose weight faster.

If you want to loose belly fat without loosing muscles this is what you should do;
For break feast it either fried eggs or cereal with low fat milk. Either drink milk or OJ.
For lunch have steaks, fish, vegetables, a salad or even soup.
You can have snacks such as fruits or any juice.
For diner eat low fat yogurt and you can eat it with kellogs fitness cereal and raisins.
AVOID eating bread and rice!
From time to time you can eat junk food but not to many.
Exercises 4-3 times a week, try going for a jog or a walk. Ride a bike.
I did this routine for about 4 months and I’ve noticed a lot of changes.
You can loose belly fat and still have your muscles.
Hope this helped, thankyou
