Shed That Fat for a Better Life
Diet Article 1
This story is true, it actually happened.
Â
Many years ago, back in the dark ages of the early 1980’s, I was so over weight that it was becoming a real health problem for me. A good walk, was a definite no-no because I couldn’t breathe easily due to the pressure on my internal bits and pieces plus I was Asthmatic, that didn’t help either.
Â
Oh! How I remember that time, the agony of trying to breathe, the searing pain in the lungs and gasping for breath. At the time I weighed in at 210lbs and I was only 5ft 9 ins tall; that’s 15 stone 12lbs, way over the top for guy of my height.
Â
One day my Wife and I read an advert in one of the National papers for a Herbal diet, we, my wife and I decided to give it a go. In 10 weeks I lost 50lbs and my wife 28lb. And we both were really Slim and Healthy. The comments we got were amazing. But the cost, Phew! it was phenomenal (to us it was). There was no way we could afford to maintain the diet for any length of time, so the fat crept back, a little bit at a time over the years until 2001 when I had a thumping great Heart Attack. I survived thank God, but I’ll have to be careful and take the pills for the rest of my life and now another thing has cropped up, Diabetes 2, apparently it goes with the heart problem, that’s going to curb my life style for sure.
Â
But now, I am back in shape again, walking at least two miles every day (even in the rain) and as for the  Asthma, well that seems to have gone-for good, I hope.
So the moral of my tale is, if you don’t want to go through what I did then change your life style, strip the fat off now, before it can do you some serious damage.
Â
Get Slim and Healthy and get your life back. Being Fat is no joke, fat is repulsive; imagine what your partner must think.
Check your waist size.
Â
Men. Stick you finger in you belly button, run the tape around at the point. You should be 37 ins. max.                                  Â
Â
Ladies. You do the same You should measure 35ins.max. Any more than this and you are not Slim and Healthy.

 Update. 13-12-08
I have just read a very interesting report in the Daily Mail, one of our more reliable news papers here in the UK. The headline reads, ‘Cutting out carbohydrates may help you to loose weight, but it can also help you to loose your memory’. WOW! Am I glad I’m not doing one of those?
Â
Apparently, carbohydrates are such an important food for the brain that mental ability drops of after only 7 days one a low-carb or no-carb diet and that these types of diets have a negative impact on thinking and cognition.
Â
Women, it seems are the worse affected, but donât you Guys think that you are immune to the problem, you are not.

Do you think my life will completely change for the better when I shed all this weight?
I need to lose about 100 pounds (I’m 5′6" and about 210 lbs right now) and then I’ll be happy with my body and the way I look. I feel like once I lose all that weight my whole life will be better and I’ll be more confident and outgoing and just straight up happier!
Will this really happen though?
Will my life really be better just because of losing 100 pounds?
I don’t want to get my hopes up and then be disappointed if I lose 100 pounds and then I’m skinny but my life still sucks or something…
I just want to know what to expect.
you will be healthier and happier

it depends on why you feel your life sucks. is it really the weight, or is the weight masking other issues? either way, loosing the weight is good from a health standpoint, you should feel better and maybe see the real reasons ( if any) why you think your life sucks.

with all due respect they way we see ourselves is more than just our looks and appearance. I am sure you are a good looking girl, and sure after shedding the weight you may feel better about yourself but you happiness is more than that. I just hope that you are doing this for yourself and not anyone else.

It doesn’t really change your life that much. I know because I have lost that much weight. You look better, sure, but life goes on and other things replace the thoughts of diet and losing weight in your mind. Don’t expect this to be a cure-all, because it ain’t.

You will still be the same person you are now. Whatever issues made you gain all that weight in the first place will still be there. They won’t magically disappear. If you’re shy, you’ll still be shy.
However, you will get to enjoy feeling and looking better. People will respond to you more positively.
But you won’t be happier. You might even get depressed if you feel like your ’shield’ is gone. If you have issues with the other sex and you ate to avoid them, you might feel uncomfortable with people being more open to you and you not knowing how to deal with it.
However, go for it. After you lose weight, you can get help with your stuff if you need to.

Happiness is definitely not determined by how much a person weighs. We all know of people who are overweight and much more content than people who have the perfect analogies. Don’t lose all that weight to become happy, that is not going to happen. A realistic thing to expect is to fit in smaller sizes, maybe feel more comfortable with the way you look. But that doesn’t equal happiness. It can nevertheless boost your self-confidence, and hence contribute to your engaging in certain activities that will elevate your mood. Good luck

It is SO GOOD that you are asking this question now, so you will know what to expect and not be disappointed after all your work and labor. You will feel better about yourself, and you will reflect that, which will bring better reactions to you back to you, but it is not magical. The fact that you will be healthier and trim will not make everyone like you or attracted to you. Be ready for that. But you will get noticed more, and there are people who would never look at you heavy who will notice you once you’re thin. Should it be that way? No. But it is. More people will notice you and be attracted to you, but not everyone… And you will still be the same person, with the same problems or difficulties you had before regarding relationships….so don’t expect those things to magically disappear….The work of being ourselves and learning and growing continues for thick and thin….so to speak. You will undoubtedly be at least a bit happier because you’ll have the confidence of knowing you’ve done what’s absolutely best for your health and your life, and you’ll know what you can accomplish. This, in and of itself, can attract more positive, accepting people into your life. Good for you that you want to be healthy, and you’re looking into making sure you have realistic expectations. Good going! Let us know how it turns out for you….and remember, you are doing this to make yourself better—healthier, stronger, more accomplished….so if nobody ever notices, you still do, and that counts most of all. Good luck
